EVA MAGANJA

ABOUT ME

Hello

I'm Eva Maganja, and I've always had a deep passion for creativity. Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to the world of art and imagination. My journey into the realm of creativity began when I was just five years old, with a daily ritual of sitting down at my desk and sketching at 6 PM like clockwork. My parents often shared stories of this early artistic enthusiasm, attributing it to my love for cartoons and the enchanting fantasy worlds they portrayed.

13-15 years old

As I grew older, my artistic horizons expanded. I delved into the captivating worlds of anime and video games, where my imagination was further fueled by the rich visuals and intricate narratives. I made it a personal mission to recreate the characters and scenes that captured my heart, honing my artistic skills along the way.

My early 20's

In my twenties, my fascination with fantasy worlds led me to explore 2D and 3D art. I immersed myself in the realms of concept art and 3D modeling, captivated by the opportunity to bring new dimensions to imaginative universes. In 2017, I embarked on a life-changing journey, relocating from Slovenia to Glasgow, UK. This move opened doors to exciting freelance opportunities in the video game and film industries, allowing me to contribute my creative talents to projects I deeply admired.

Mid 20s

Around my mid twenties, I decided to step into the world of cosplay, a perfect fusion of my passions for fantasy and costume-making. Cosplay quickly became a significant part of my life, providing me with the chance to attend conventions, apply for competitions worldwide, and forge lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts. My dedication to the craft paid off when I was selected as one of the top 25 finalists from a pool of 2,000 participants to grace the stage at BlizzCon—an unforgettable experience that reached a live audience of 35,000 and 2 million viewers online.

Cosplaying not only expanded my crafting skills but also bolstered my confidence in pursuing creative endeavors. In 2020, I transitioned into entrepreneurship, embarking on my first venture, Craftverse. Craftverse aimed to create a platform for cosplayers and creators to showcase their talents, connect with the community, and find job opportunities. While the concept garnered substantial interest, its massive scale temporarily placed the project on hold.

Undeterred, I ventured into a new enterprise— a:musé, a premium aesthetic candle brand. Together with my partner, we crafted 3D-printed candle vessels, filled them with healthy beeswax and soy wax, and infused them with premium first-grade perfumes. Our candles quickly gained recognition, winning startup competitions and earning accolades for their exceptional design. Today, our candles are available through a prominent European online retailer, marking a significant milestone in our journey.

Fashion

Over the past two years, I have also found immense joy in creating dresses for fashion shows in Slovenia, particularly as part of REDical Park, sponsored by Beefeater London. Crafting dresses and fantasy pieces has become a cherished aspect of my creative expression.

Modeling

And lastly, I've been pursuing modeling work as well. During our vacations, my partner and I create small photoshoots wherever we go. These impromptu photoshoots often feature dresses I've sewn the day before our departure. The end results are always breathtaking, and this additional creative outlet allows me to share my passion for art and fashion in new and exciting ways.

That's it for now.

As I continue my journey, I remain committed to pushing the boundaries of creativity, forging new connections, and seeking opportunities to bring my imaginative visions to life. Thank you for joining me on this creative adventure, and I look forward to sharing more of my passions and projects with you in the future.
